I got to work this morning and my boss arrived shortly there after. She had to vent to someone about her mother's reaction to her present. She bought her mother a $400 bracelet, expensive high end gardening gloves from Smith & Hawkings, power scissors, embroidered silk pillow cases, and $200 worth of Godiva gift chocolate for her mother to give to her friends. Her mother bitched about every single gift and I thought my boss was going to cry when she was telling me about it. I bitch about my boss being a bitch, but after going on that cruise with her and her mother I totally understand why she is the way she is. When she does act like her mother I know we should call her on it but I think she would be devastated. She tries so hard to be the opposite of her mother but sometimes she acts like her. I think she often realizes she's behaving this way because she will all of a sudden do a 180. I just couldn't imagine spending over $600 on my mom and her totally bitching about everything. None of it was good enough.

The plans to paint my office have been put on hold until possibly next week because the new suite is almost finished and then we will be able to move the existing furniture out of the office and paint with an empty room. It makes sense but I'm still a little disappointed. She just left for a doctor's appointment. She requested that I get my desk organized so that we can work on end of the year stuff together.
