I don't post a whole lot about the world because I have trouble putting my thoughts into words. I think the fact that two friends of mine who blog are more eloquent then I am is a little intimidating. They post on world events often. I don't always agree with them but I always respect their opinions. I actually chuckle to myself when I read their thoughts and opinions on matters that are so different from my view points. I see people post comments in their blogs disagreeing with their opinions and I think to myself, "There's another reason why I rarely post about the events of the world." I also fear that my very different view points on some topics would end our friendship.
The common thread that brought us together is our love music, and playing a mafia based RPG.
I do wish they would both give me some new groups to check out. They both seem to know exactly what to suggest to me when I'm looking for something new. I feel as thought I'm losing my connection to people who I truly enjoy discussing life, music, and the world with. I hope that one day soon, I can corner them into a chat room or an instant message. That goes for the missing third over there in Scotland as well. Her posts about every day life really makes me feel like an inadequate poster.
I am a NASCAR fan but I don't like chicken wings. :P

Hahaha. I wasn't thinking about you at all when I typed that. I WILL advise you that I was going over some french lessons recently and learning the different ways of saying "you" (in french...there are a LOT). One of them, vous, is much like saying "you all" or "y'all". And I bust a gut imagining you yelling out to a group of people "HEY VOUS".
I hope you don't think that we have to agree on anything in order to be friends. You are always entitled and welcome to your own opinions, and I don't expect you to agree with anything I say (I would be extremely surprised if we did, truth be told). I've known that for a long time, so please don't fear that a difference of opinion on something like gun control would have the ability to ruin our wonderful friendship.
The people/blogs I refer to specifically in my blogs are....well...pious ignorant fools that stand behind their religion in order to justify their behaviour. There is a level of disdain there that would not be present in any discussions with friends. And I know that because I do not have willfully ignorant friends, nor are they cruel.
I think by eloquent you mean "big-mouthed". I will fully admit to having a large one. You don't need to post your views on the socio-economic policies of the Idi Amin regime in its early years in order to have any sort of respect afforded to you. You lead a life that is interesting to your friends based purely on the fact that you are you. Please don't think that you need to participate in any sort of discussion in order to relate! You don't. You most definitely don't. In many ways I am jealous of you, and take delight in reading about your life. I don't have much of a personal life to speak of, so I am forced to reach out into the world and find things to discuss. But I've always had a soapbox regarding certain topics (that make up the bulk of the rants on my blog).
YOU POST INFREQUENTLY SO I AM UNABLE TO COMMENT ON YOUR BLOGGING ABILITIES. But then, you know that you don't post as often as we'd all like you to. But I understand. I will expect you to participate in my new blog venture though. I'm challenging everyone I know to step up and prove statistics wrong.
Much love, Laurie girl. Sorry about the essay here, but it all needs to be said :) Give E a hug for me!

I think you'd really appreciate the lyrics in this album, especially the song You, given the subject matter :)
I loved the essay and I love you. :)
Pfft, you can turn on any one of 20 channels to hear some idiot yammering about the news. That doesn't make it interesting. I'd say that sort of thing is pretty well covered. I only spout off about things like that because I don't feel like talking about my personal life.
That would be more like work.
Opinions are like assholes, anyway.
Don't show this post to the baby, it's PG-13.
Unfortunately the baby does not live in a G or PG household. I had almost kicked the potty mouth habit when my husband came home one day swearing.
You think my everyday life is something to be jealous of? Hell, I think I'd rather have nothing much to post about sometimes.
As for those two... Windbags, the pair of them... Obviously got too much time on their hands. Seriously. Take up knitting or something the pair of you!
Hugs to the small one with the potty mouth!
